Any claims to the contrary don't change the validity of this statement! Since the standard EURO fire test procedures require fires to be examined using negative pressure, only those fire dampers will be approved which possess sealing elements with a foaming effect during a fire. This has been reliably proven during fire tests in France and the Netherlands. These countries have already been conducting tests with negative pressure for many years. The figure shows Trox fire dampers which have been authorised in France and the Netherlands and which have already been successfully tested using negative pressure. Conclusion: Fire dampers which will now have to be tested according to the new EURO standard must have better sealing properties than most of the fire dampers authorised in Germany today. In other words, this will have no negative effects on the German safety standards.
